Monte Silentii are dedicated to running. The construction "flip-flop" design works great when running, preventing the foot from sliding forward. 
With proper running technique, the straps between the fingers are practically unnoticeable. Thanks to the "side straps", the main strap is guided at the appropriate height, which prevents the tape from slipping over the heel. This model is characterized by a very simple lacing system, which is a combination of a very durable carrying strap with a top-quality self-tightening buckle. Soft and elastic straps fits perfectly to the foot without causing any abrasions. Self-tightening buckle allows for quick adjustment of the band tension.

This model is characterized by a uniform layer of a 10mm Vibram sole covered with a Cordura padding. By combining a 10mm thick sole with a Cordura padding, we get running sandals with a slightly rough surface. The synthetic Cordura padding is very durable. Its lower part is covered with a layer of Teflon, which makes it highly resistant to weather conditions. The effect of combining the Vibram sole with Cordura is to eliminate foot slipping in wet conditions. The model with a Cordura padding will work great wherever we will have contact with streams, puddles or changeable weather. In the case of this model, we have a great combination of durability and minimalism, which will work perfectly in difficult conditions.

Features of the 10mm sole:
The Vibram sole has unique properties that are great for running sandals.
The sole used in Monk Sandals is characterized by, among others:

Cordura padding properties:
Advantages:
- Durability, synthetic material resistant to abrasion and damage.

- Water resistance. No slipping of the foot in wet conditions.
- Easy to care for. The material is easy to clean and maintain.

Disadvantages:
- Constant contact with salt water may cause problems with the material peeling off at the edges of the sole.
- At very high temperatures, Cordura reflects heat, which can make your foot feel hot.
- If not dried properly, there may be a problem with an unpleasant smell.
- The slightly rough structure may be noticeable to sensitive feet.

Advantages of through-sole straps:
- Thicker, more durable side straps.
- Control of the degree of wear of the side straps.
- Possibility of easy replacement (repair kit available on the website).
- Better guidance angle (straps are closer to the edge and fit better under the foot).
- Grooves in the sole that hide the straps, so the straps do not have contact with the ground.
