Monte Silentii are dedicated to running. The construction "flip-flop" design works great when running, preventing the foot from sliding forward. 
With proper running technique, the straps between the fingers are practically unnoticeable. Thanks to the "side straps", the main strap is guided at the appropriate height, which prevents the tape from slipping over the heel. This model is characterized by a very simple lacing system, which is a combination of a very durable carrying strap with a top-quality self-tightening buckle. Soft and elastic straps fits perfectly to the foot without causing any abrasions. Self-tightening buckle allows for quick adjustment of the band tension.

This model is characterized by a uniform layer of a 10mm Vibram sole covered with a leather padding. Thanks to the combination of a 10mm thick sole with a leather padding, we get very comfortable running sandals. The leather padding is soft and pleasant to the touch, giving the foot a feeling of lightness and freedom. Suede leather works great during long hours of activity, so this model is perfect for long distances and all-day hikes. Thanks to the leather padding, we will get great comfort during hot summer days. The leather absorbs sweat well and does not heat up from the sun. Thanks to the 10 mm sole covered with padding, we do not have to worry about stones, gravel and other unevenness.

Features of the 10mm sole:
The Vibram sole has unique properties that are great for running sandals.
The sole used in Monk Sandals is characterized by, among others:

- The sole is moderately stiff, so the front doesn't roll up.

- The right rubber mixture gives a feeling of light cushioning (lack of hardness), protecting the foot from mechanical damage.

Leather padding properties:
Advantages:
- Durability, very durable material resistant to abrasion and damage. Impossible to tear off the sole.
- Comfort, nice and pleasant to the touch.
- Breathability, absorbs sweat and heat well, making it pleasant on hot days.
- Aesthetics, original design and natural color.
- Naturalness, bovine suede leather produced in a Polish tannery.
- Versatile, can be used in all conditions, but proper maintenance is important.
Disadvantages:
- Color change where it touches the foot. Leather becomes darker and "glassy" over time.
- Leather absorbs water in wet conditions and becomes slippery.
- If not dried properly, there may be a problem with an unpleasant smell.

Advantages of through-sole straps:
- Thicker, more durable side straps.
- Control of the degree of wear of the side straps.
- Possibility of easy replacement (repair kit available on the website).
- Better guidance angle (straps are closer to the edge and fit better under the foot).
- Grooves in the sole that hide the straps, so the straps do not have contact with the ground.
- The sole is arranged and shaped under the foot (eliminates the abrasion of the straps).

- A simpler and more practical solution.
- No metal elements.
- Straps sewn on a machine, which provides the highest durability.
